Helping individuals stay safe at work is something I'm passionate about and committed to doing. We work for ¾ of our lives at our jobs, thus we must arrive at work and get home to our loved ones safely. I was always worried by the idea that someone might get hurt at work and lose any of their limbs or their lives. I made sure to watch and interact with shop floor workers while I was walking the line to identify problems and either immediately address them or draw attention to them so that they might be addressed. Routinely sharing my observations and emphasizing them before anything happens. Performing the show and tell and sharing incidents on-site, from other sites or organizations were two of my strategies for reaching the employees' hearts and minds.

When there is a problem related to environmental health and safety, everyone from the operations manager to the shop floor personnel comes to me for help in resolving the issue or to confirm whether it meets corporate or regulatory requirements. I have developed organizational and methodical skills over the years to help me handle both my regular work and unforeseen demands and expectations. When I can aid and advise someone to be safe and act appropriately, it truly makes my heart happy. Nothing builds a business-like trust and reliability, and I take great satisfaction in my commitment to these qualities.
