The Opportunity

CRISIL is looking for a talented DevOps and Cloud Architect to help drive digital transformation by contributing to our growing DevOps initiative. This initiative is a key component to the enablement of our product/Platforms to continuously deliver value to our business users/customers. In this role you will couple your experience in infrastructure and development to drive the successful deployment of cloud applications. You would take responsibility of infra, deployment, operations of scalable platforms, microservices that deliver scale, high availability and security.

You Are Great At

• Creating detailed DevOps Transformation plan developed & reviewed with respect to digital enterprise systems regarding the evolution from the Current to Future State architectures.
• Leading the DevOps architecture definition and help manage execution to achieve the desired target state
• Executing proof-of-concept activities to help design and validate proposed future state concepts and architectures
• Developing and building a DevOps user community. Providing technical guidance to community members and mentoring to junior developers
• Automating build and deploy pipelines and processes, infrastructure bootstrapping and monitoring and the process of dockerized applications provisioning in aws ECR/Harbor and ECS/EKS.
• Working with Cloud formation templates, terraform, Docker containers, Kubernetes clusters.
• Enterprise continuous integration and layered testing principles and Container management and deployment (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker)
• Analytical and problem solving skills with ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, methodologies and systems.
• Contributing actively to group discussions and presents ideas, views amicably while facilitating productive technical meetings.

What It Takes

• University degree in B.E, B.Tech, MCA or MSc(CS), preferably in Computer Science/Engineering) with 8 to 12 years of Software development experience
• Strong experience with cloud-based design and/or delivery experience utilizing DevOps and CI/CD approaches (e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible) to deliver automated build and deploy pipelines (CI/CD) and processes from code commit/merge to deployment to containers.
• Experience evaluating and implementing tools used in DevOps toolchain; including continuous integration and development pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, ADO Pipelines, AWS Code Star) for enterprise applications and systems
• Experience with Infrastructure automation using common automation (e.g. CloudFormation, Terraform) provision infrastructure as code, automated application deployment, monitoring, logging, reporting/dashboarding, and continuous delivery.
• Proficient in the architecture and administration of a wide range of AWS Services (e.g. VPC, ALB, Fargate, Glue, CodeStar). Ability to evaluate new services and develop patterns to enable enterprise adoption
• Strong knowledge and expertise in Linux, Networking, AWS stack, Docker, automation/scripting (Bash, Ruby, Python), CI/CD tools (AWS code deploy, AWS code build, AWS code pipeline, ADO Pipelines, Jenkins).
• Experience with Cloud-native, Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices architecture; APIs, SDKs, IDEs / Frameworks / Spring; DevOps, CI/CD tools (Jira, Git / Jenkins, Cucumber, Ansible/Chef, Cloud/Orchestration/Scheduling).
• Fast learner and staying up-to-date on emerging technologies.
• Passionate to solve challenges, take ownership, be a fast learner and staying up-to-date on emerging technologies.
• Expressive and outspoken with excellent communication skills and email etiquette.

Will prefer you if you

• Good understanding of ADO, especially on pipelines
• Certified DevOps Engineer with 4+ years of experience DevOps experience.
• Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure like OpenStack
• Fundamental knowledge of DNS & Networking Fundamentals, TCP/UDP, IP Routing, HA & Load Balancing Concepts.
• Expertise in building engineering tools, system dashboards and monitoring alerts (Cloudwatch, New Relic).
• AWS and Azure Services (e.g. API Gateway, WAF, Serverless)
• Authentication & Authorization technologies (e.g. OAuth, SAML)
