Experience of managing the design and build of integrated Microsoft Dynamics solution consisting of the following components:

• Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations
• Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Microsoft Power Platform
• Microsoft Azure SQL
• Microsoft Azure Data Factory
• Microsoft Azure Function Apps
• Microsoft Azure Logic Apps
• Microsoft Azure API Management

Experience of managing a large, geographically dispersed team of developers for the delivery of Documentation, Code, Screen Design, Data Requirements and Config through the application lifecycle. 

Experience of working closely with Business Analysts to clarify requirements and ensure traceability of requirements through the application lifecycle.

Experience of working closely with technical architects and functional consultants to elaborate designs and integrations.

Experience of planning and managing the workload of the developers to maintain the delivery schedule using a combination of Scrum and Microsoft’s SureStep methodologies.

Act as the point of escalation for the developers and scrum master to resolve issues and blockers.

Liaison with the programme level Delivery Workstream Lead to ensure development delivery is to time, cost and quality.

Oversight and governance of quality standards

Experience of using development management and automated deployment tools, including:

• Microsoft Azure DevOps
• Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations Life Cycle Services
• Microsoft Azure Pipelines

Experience of defining, documenting and enforcing processes/ controls Development Standards.

Role and responsibilities

Responsible for the design and build of an integrated platform across the application lifecycle - Work closely with the technical teams to identify activities and manage them through build and deployment with the Environments team.

Responsible for implementing appropriate development management processes and controls within the existing development framework - Clearly define and document controls, ensuring they are understood and strictly adhered to by the development team.

Responsible for managing all code, config and data requirements and agree with key stakeholders when releases are ready in accordance with an agreed schedule.

Responsible for managing any issues that arise within the development team and integrations through to resolution - ensure that issues are captured, triaged, and assigned to the appropriate teams or external supplier and regular updates are provided to the programme delivery WS lead.

Responsible for ensuring documentation is created, approved and maintained to support the smooth transition of releases through testing, warranty period and into production.

Responsible for the creation of a reporting dashboard for the Development WS Delivery Lead, Highlighting achievements, plan progress, risks and issues and commentary.

Prepare timely estimates and reports for the Development activities.

Organise and participate in Microsoft Consulting Services reviews to validate solution designs.

Ensure that “best practice” and Wessex Water IT controls are adopted for development at all times.
