· Assist Head of IT to oversee the daily operation in Infrastructure Team.
· Provide technical expertise and judgments to support IT Infrastructure that support complex business needs in accordance to IT Service Management process.
· Identify and mitigate possible risks and design solutions based on AWS best practices and industry standards, throughout the project implementation stage or public seminar.
· Perform development, configuration, installation, administration, and upgrades of infrastructure components within dedicated server and future cloud environments.
· Experienced in cloud and UNIX server configuration, setup, and maintenance.
· Familiar with MYSQL and APACHE Server configuration and performance measurement.
· Planning for upgrades, capacity management and technology roadmap of hosting infrastructure.
· Provide configuration management and security compliance for virtual infrastructure and datacentre server equipment.
· Monitor network operation and administer Servers on daily & regular basis including running pulse checks, health checks and monitoring alerts, analysing reports and providing recommendation measures, ensuring all IT Infrastructure is healthy in use to support day-to-day operations.
· Responsible for Security Patch Management, ensuring IT Infrastructure Operating System & Hardware Firmware is up-to-date, and secured & protected from potential vulnerabilities.
· Responsible for Data Backup and Recovery procedures execution, including execution of Half-yearly Backup Data Recovery Testing.
· Undertake other special assignments, ad-hoc job / project as and when required by the Manager from time to time.
Requirements
· Knowledge in setting up AWS Cloud technologies such as Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, Cloudflare, and Amazon CloudFront
· Candidates should possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related technical degree
· Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
· Strong communication, presentation skill; outspoken and verbally capable to communicate your thoughts/ideas clearly and precisely
· Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences.
· Strong written communication skills.
· Experience with design/implementation/consulting distributed applications, or perform system administrator role for infrastructure services such as server, storage, network and database
· Experience in application architecture, infrastructure architecture, database architecture or networking
· Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
· Intermediate/advanced knowledge of the AWS services, market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.
· Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
· Experience in software development life cycle, waterfall, and agile approach is a plus
· Experience in enabling DevOps, Cloud adoption, backup and DR on the cloud.
