Job Description
We are looking for a software developer to build and implement streams in the Nokia Mediation Platform. Your primary duties revolve around developing streams on the Nokia Mediation platform in accordance with the technical requirement specifications prioritizing the streams related to the billing migration project.
In this role, you’re expected to be able to work individually as well as in a team to accomplish your tasks. Knowledge of the software development lifecycles as well as agile methodology is essential.

Your Responsibilities: (What is this role all about? What does the applicant have to do?)

• Be the point of contact and as the subject matter expert (SME) on domain Nokia Mediation development and technical service design. • To plan, strategize, drive and coordinate all aspects of technical development and change request implementations within agreed timelines, scope and KPIs. • Work with business users, IT architects, project managers, internal stakeholders and vendors in understanding the requirements, functional and technical design as part of the mediation streams development requirement. • Provide feedback to Technical Lead/SME on end-to-end systems integration in the software development lifecycle stages (design, development, test, deployment). Expected to manage risks and impact and prioritize the streams development accordingly. • Develop and manage professional working relationship with vendors. • Responsible in considering all resources required to deliver the service, and plans for short, medium and long term business requirements • Monitor and control man effort spent for each change request in order to deliver optimum delivery based on business desired date. • To endorse and ensure change request adhere to change management flow prior to implementation. • Responsible to compile requests across functions and facilitate the key prioritization forum meetings – Architecture, Pre-prioritization and Prioritization • Communications – Structure update with clear objective and message clearly delivered to the audience. • To establish knowledge base, documentation of process and best practices, and conduct knowledge sharing session to build in house talents’ competency • Ensure operations readiness for handover and support, plan and execute system deployment in accordance with project rollout strategy and change management process. • Provide support during system stability after initial deployment and subsequently follow up on defect and enhancement identified.
Your roles: • To align with the Tech Lead to understand the requirements stated in the requirements specification and develop the streams based on the requirements. • Develop proper documentation and ensure codes are equipped with proper comments. • Support and troubleshoot during the integration and testing phase. • Support the Tech Lead on technical matters related to Nokia Mediation deliveries.

§ It is important that you have at least a tertiary level qualification in Engineering, Technology , IT, Computer science or Management field or hold a professional qualification from a recognized body, though extensive relevant experience may be considered in place of this § You are someone with a broad technical mindset and has some understanding of business requirements and operating model § For this role it is important for you to constantly have a customer mindset i.e. able to think and react in ways that will be beneficial or cause least disruption to our customers § You will need to be someone who has solid experience in performing Nokia Mediation streams development § You have an appreciation for good service level and customer experience, whilst having the ability to anticipate and mitigate problems § You have the mindset to ‘take the lead’ and deliver on the mandate § More than 8 years working experience where at least 5 years working experience in Nokia Mediation development or similar roles § Experience of managing relationships with internal business customers § Proven leadership and management skills § Deep functional knowledge of the applications § Overall technical understanding of the applications § Excellent understanding for the business processes supported by the applications § Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills § Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English |
