Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. In this position as an Embedded Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for working
together with the Board/Platform Development Engineering team in contributing to
hardware platform validation which includes test/validation planning and programming,
validation methodologies and strategies, product specs definition, product features and/or
flavours configuration and test content to validate next-generation high-end platform or
SOCs. Perform evaluation, development, and debug of new validation methodologies.
2. Perform hardware validation and debug – using customized boards or hardware accelerators
3. Deliver product (silicon & boards) technical collaterals & tools across the entire Product Life
Cycle.
4. External Design Specification, Specification update, Schematics, Schematic Check Tool,
5. Debug customer board level issues by finding the root cause and provide workarounds.
6. Debug component issues and drive resolution with Pre-Si design and Post-Si development
teams
Requirements:
• Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering
(Electrical/Electronics), Computer Engineering or equivalent with at least 6 or more
relevant years of working experience.
• Experienced in Hardware Debug on both Platform and Component Level (Preferably
SoC Level)
• Experience working on PC/Controller Peripherals such as DDR, UART, SPI, and I2C etc
interfaces.
• Ability to use various electrical and electronic test/measuring equipment n board
debugging: oscilloscope, multi-meter, frequency generator, logic analyzer, bus
analyzer, protocol analyzer
• Programming/Scripting experience in Python, Perl or C
• Knowledge of PC/Server system, processor, or controller architecture (x86, ARM,
PowerPC)
• Have proactive work attitude, able to take own initiative in handling technical
challenges and resolving board issues.
• Possesses any of the following experience will be an added advantage:
✓ Experienced in High-Speed Communication Protocols such as PCIe, USB and
SATA
✓ Experience in board level signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI)
simulations and/or debug
✓ Working knowledge of processor or microcontroller circuit schematics
