Job Description

Job title Python & SAS Quant Analyst
Location Pune
Experience 5+ years of relevant experience

Job Duties

• Lead the migration from the SAS environment to Python script for a leading U.S. asset manager based in NYC
• Create process documents for future reference once the migration is complete
• Design and create new databases using data from multiple sources, and set up infrastructure for the regular maintenance of the same
• Process data, build models and generate automated reports using Python, and Excel-VBA
• Generate process efficiencies in database maintenance, preparation of regular reports
• Python Code Optimization, production deployment and bugging skills
Qualifications • Graduate / post-graduate in Physics / Computer Science / Engineering / Math / Statistics / Economics and related fields
Skills required
• High degree of comfort with Python libraries like Pandas and Numpy
• Fluency in implementing merge, update, join, concatenation etc.
• Prior experience with RDBMS database design / MS SQL server
• Basic knowledge of SAS and Excel-VBA
• Capable of handling large datasets
• High level of attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and functional skills in coding and use of databases
• Understanding of company financial statements, accounting
• Strong communication skills with proven ability to interact with global clients
