In the role of Release Manager you’ll own the execution of release management / implementation activities including but not limited to the following duties:

• Owns and manage the process of preparing new software for release (i.e. be it Waterfall/Agile/DevOps/CI-CD/) to ensure a smooth and successful product launch, guided by ITIL concepts and principles.
• Works closely with technical, business, PM’s, vendors, and other external teams/stakeholders to coordinate the product release for multiple Scrum (development) teams.
• Manage flow of changes through various pre-production environments culminating in successfully deployment into the production IT environment in the least disruptive manner.
• Release activities include planning, designing, configuration, rollout planning, testing communication and deployment.
• Coordinate deployments within the scheduled Change windows 
• Deployment after business, i.e. working over weekends and out of the business of hours will be an essential part of this role 
• Facilitating Run through with all necessary stakeholders 
• Identifying & implementing continual service improvements to the Release Process 
• Ability to report on releases to all levels of management and technical experts

• Manage and coordinate technical resources to facilitate resolution during complex issues
• Create highly detailed release plans.
• Scheduling release readiness and release retrospective review sessions
• Identify, manage, and mitigate any potential risk associated with releases

• Release, deployment, communication, and risk management.

Technical/Functional Essential Competencies

• Extensive experience in or working with Change/Release/Incident Management roles 
• Solid experience planning, scheduling, managing and supporting the release management process
• Proven experience managing and overseeing the entire release management lifecycle using agile methodology
• Experience working with test and release automation within CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving IT related problems
• Experience in code management
• Software product development lifecycle experience
• Experience in writing procedural or training documents
