Senior Software Engineer (AEM) – Technology

What you’ll do:  

As Senior Software Engineer (AEM) of Technology, you’ll deploy innovative solutions for a variety of projects. You’ll design and build highly dynamic, data-driven internet-based platforms and keep current on the latest developments and trends in internet-based technologies.

Day-to-day, your role includes:

·      Contributing to the technical design and implementation of practical, maintainable project solutions.

·      Being hands-on, independently coding and developing software & platform solutions using AEM.

·      Work closely with clients, system administrators, project managers, and end users to build and maintain the Digital Platform using Adobe's Digital Marketing Product Suite.

·      Design efficient content models, security models, workflows and templates.

·      Maintaining a consistent focus on quality for projects.

·      Performing code reviews, developing and adhering to coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse.

·      Staying on top of evolving web standards.

·      Encouraging team awareness and adoption of relevant emerging technologies.

·      Working comfortably within a dynamic, challenging environment to meet client delivery deadlines.

·      Openly communicating project status, risks and challenges.

·      Serving as a recognized subject matter expert within fields of expertise.

We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

·      Deep familiarity with the digital environment.

·      Overall experience of 5+ years in developing applications using AEM components in Agile mode.

·      5+ years hands on experience in creating OSGI bundles, AEM Templates/Components and Workflows.

·      Experience integrating AEM with other Adobe Marketing Cloud products, such as Analytics, Target, Campaign, Cloud Manager.

·      Strong experience in using the following aspects of AEM: Sling, Dialog Configuration, Authoring Environment, CRX DE, Package Manager, User Administration Area, Assets Area, OSGi consoles.

·      Strong experience in Web application development experience including REST, Java, J2EE, Javascript frameworks, jQuery, Bootstrap, AJAX, JSON, HTML5, CSS3.

·      Strong experience using DevOps tools (Jenkins, Bamboo,  BitBucket, Maven).

·      Firm understanding of software engineering methodologies such as object-oriented design and design patterns, including MVC.

·      Experience with source versioning, preferably Git.

·      Administration skills on web server and application server products, preferably Apache, Tomcat, etc.

·      Full software development life-cycle experience on web facing applications.

·      Familiarity with web security methodologies.

·      Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.

·      Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Nice to Have:

·      Experience integrating AEM Cloud Services.

·      UX/UI framework experience (React/Angular/Node.js) would be good to have.
