You are expected to:

• Analyze and translate user’s business requirements and processes into technical specifications that encompass the end-to-end IT ecosystem
• Conduct gap analysis of current processes to identify improvement opportunities (where required)
• Identify and raise the potential risks and opportunities during the assessment and development stage
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties (business partners and vendors) and must be able to evaluate (and/or challenge) the projects/change requests that are under your care
• Manage and collaborate with internal service providers such as Solution Architect, other platforms’ owner and Product Development to ensure that systems capabilities and developments are adhered to business and IT roadmaps.
• Contribute to the deployment of the business processes, IT applications and systems
• Regularly monitor the IT application and systems effectiveness in meeting end user requirements and manage any changes required to ensure good system performance
• Working with Application Owners, Application Development teams and Operation Team for specific products and/or system capabilities.
• Ensure all agreed SLA parameters are achieved within target

Your merits:

• 5+ years of application design and development experience in a cloud environment, including coding REST services and API such as Java, JSON, Python.
• Google Cloud Platform’s Apigee EDGE platform and API development experience through the entire Software Development Lifecycle Process
• Create the “template” API Proxy(s) for API management functions
• Develop API proxies
• Design and develop REST APIs using the API Management platform. Create REST API documentation, swagger
• Convert web services from SOAP to REST or vice-versa, using the API management platform
• Implement requirements of the API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request and response modifications, etc. using the API management platform
• Maintain programming standards and ensure the usage of the pattern/template for API Proxy
• Ensure proper approach on traffic control and API security
• Experience with CI/CD Tools
• Build and create shared flows for Error Handling, Security and other scenarios as deemed necessary
• Experience in API management tools like Apigee Edge in designing API facades, designing and implementing API Proxies, and Developer portal Expert level knowledge of REST API/service patterns.
• Experience in Drupal (coding and developing) – HTML/XHTML, XSLT, CSS, PHP, jQuery, Java Scripts, postgres db, Fireburg
• Scripting technologies like Node JS or Angular JS or JavaScript
• Experience in APIGEE API platform on designing and implementing REST API and SOAP Webservices.
• Complete knowledge of creating API proxies and configuring policies on APIGEE Edge
• Lead root cause analysis session to understand what causes particular issues in Production and come up with solutions that will prevent them from happening in the future
• Design, build, maintain and support the Apigee infrastructure
• Partner with Architecture to come up with the standard and best practices for the usage of Apigee as an enterprise product.
