Job Overview

As a Telecommunications BSS Solution Designer, you will own the integrated solution design of the overall technology landscape. You are responsible to put forward approaches and solutions to enhance the current telecommunications systems of our client. To achieve this, you will collaborate with multiple internal and external (third party) teams as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Gather, clarify and document functional and non-functional requirements from client and internal stakeholders. Work with stakeholders on requirement prioritization, pruning and phasing where appropriate
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, product vendors, other third party service providers and the customer in the design process to translate business needs into enterprise level solutions. Assess the total cost of implementation
  • Develop and design specifications for integration, products and technologies
  • Review design standards, quality control and test procedures to ensure the deliverables meet established design and performance goals
  • Design and develop an integrated solution that assist our Telecom customers in managing major business processes in their overall enterprise structure
  • Design and develop solution for RFP/RFIs & proactive proposals. Support client workshops
  • Assist customers in the development of fully integrated systems and applications software
  • Determine the availability and viability of third party components and services as needed
  • Validates third party components comply with established core system architecture
  1. Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in Telecom domain in wide range of roles - Architecture, Delivery and Operations and BSCS
  • Have hands on experience in multiple domains within the BSS and/or OSS Platforms - Siebel/CRM, Salesforce, Contract Management, Inventory Management, Campaign Management, Order Management, CPQ, Enterprise Integration Platforms, Service Activation and Provisioning, Mediation and Billing, Service Assurance platforms
  • Extensive exposure to online/mobile self-service and e-commerce
  • Ability to perform end to end design with performance and security consideration
  • Enterprise and Data Architecture experience
  • Demonstrated skills in Team Leadership, Coaching, Practice Development, Competency building
  • Strong background in solution design preferably with leading telecom companies
  • Must be self-motivated, analytical, detail oriented, organized and pursue excellence on all tasks
  • Knowledge of Telecom industry best practices, future trends and design patterns
  • Good knowledge of Singapore ICT industry standards and regulations a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to solve problems using a creative and logical mind set
