All of my cherished childhood memories include my siblings. I became more competitive and motivated to catch up with them. I had the attitude of "they did it, and so can I." The best part about having siblings is that you can look up to them for any advice. They are indeed my support system and confidence boosters.

Growing up, my brothers and I were treated equally by our parents. It made me realize that my dreams and ambitions are no less than that of a boy. That I, too, am capable of achieving my dreams and ambitions like a boy. Life is limitless, and you can achieve anything that you put your mind to, regardless of your gender. My parents also have a huge role to play in what I am today. I was brought up in a disciplined and strict family with constant pressure to achieve well in academics. It was tough to be afraid of doing hard-work because putting in the effort would undoubtedly yield a pleasant result.

Being a mother of 3 children made me realize that parenting is no easy task, but it's the most beautiful experience. There is a juggling superwoman in every mother, who would wipe off every challenge thrown across them and increase the family's bond. A few things I do to increase family bonding are planning everything well in advance. Furthermore, I am extremely conscious about the quality and conversation I have with my kids, apart from noticing the important days in their school life.

I always admired and took inspiration from my parents. My mother and father had rough backgrounds, which then guided us to the right path. My grandfather is also one of my greatest inspirations, as he plunged into the sea of life with extraordinary courage and confidence. Being a mere gardener, he shifted from the South of India to Malaysia. He left his loving family and friends, his comfortable lifestyle to provide his children with worldwide exposure and opportunities.

I am a part of an NGO called the 30% Club, where chairpersons and CEOs are encouraged to take action to increase gender diversity on boards and senior management teams. This will push society to have an equalized approach to solve gender differences. The gender disparity is quite narrow when it comes to SMEs as it's small. But it's the employer who can bring about a huge difference in this gender disparity with the help of technology. They can make room for growth, promotion, training, mentoring, and much more.

A superpower that could be awarded to the women would be "the switch button", where both men and women could switch places in terms of gender. This would change their entire perspective. Balance is supreme in any context, after all. Being able to balance personal and professional life is nothing but a skill. My formula to balance them is by focusing on the present. Try not to dwell in the past or worry about the future; instead, live in the present.

We meet everyone for a reason, either they are a blessing for us or a lesson. In a professional view, a major setback I faced was when the country manager in the Vietnam office for KASS resigned after two weeks of joining. We were all shocked to the core, and uncertainty filled the vacuum. It was then that I reminded myself about the reason for my existence, my vision, and the purpose of my organization. Be patient and go with the flow; things will be right on track. We have since hired a very experienced, personable, and driven individual to forge ahead in Vietnam now.
