I have been professionally active in the last 10-years of my career life as a Software Validation/QA Engineer. For a certain period in my life, I had to put it aside to become a full-time mom. But, now that the kids have grown and opportunities are wide open, even in the midst of a pandemic, our careers shouldn't also have to go on lockdown. I'm constantly learning and finding ways to improve my life, in general; relate better with people at home and at work; work smarter and professionally. I'm on the lookout for a better job and looking forward to meeting great people that I can work with and grow. I believe in being patient, diligent, accountable, and observant rather than being critical.
During my time as a business analyst in the banking domain, I've had the chance to be exposed face-to-face with the bank users during the requirements gathering and analysis. The problems that were encountered by users gave me an insight into the common issues that users were facing, which gave me a different approach on how to validate and test scenarios. Based on that previous experience, gave me the needed boost to relate better with the product owner in order to finalize the outcome. During my 5 months' time with DBS, I've successfully completed 3 UAT sign-offs and 1 of which I was opportune to handle meetings/defect calls independently. Of course, no work is done without the collaborative efforts of the Product Owners, leads, tech, and fellow testers. Being able to work together with flexibility and trust in my peers is one of my tenets to a harmonious working relationship.
